WORK AND POLITICS

  • Personal Assistant to the SSA on Information Technology.
  •  Personal Assistant to the director of Land Information System Support Unit (LISSU) of the surveyor general.
  •  Office Manager of Cirrus Nigeria Limited in Lekki, Lagos.
  • She was the MD/CEO of Worthline International Services Limited a company she founded.
  • Senior Special Assistant on intervention and Inter-Governmental Relations in Apapa Local Government.
  • Supervisor for Health, Apapa Local Government and was a frontal/team player in the day to day health care delivery programmes in the local government.
  • Member of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) which transformed to the Action Congress (AC) which also became Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and now All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
  • She contested and won an election to serve her peoplel in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
  • She was the Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) in the 8th Assembly.
  • She was also the Chairman, House Committee on Establishment, Training, Pension and Public Service.
  • She was the Chief Whip of the 9th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
  • She was the deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
  • She became the Speaker of the 10th Assembly on the 13th of Jan 2025, a post she resigned from on the 3rd of March 2025, assuming her earlier post as the Deputy Speaker of the House.
  • Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda is currently the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly.
